Assembling an interactive multimedia presentation can potentially take a broad range of skills. Pachyderm is an open source, multimedia presentation authoring tool which can simplify the process. Pachyderm allows a user to insert their video, audio, and images into several templates which are then compiled into an interactive learning object which can be accessed online or distributed through CDs, DVDs, or other storage media.
The Pachyderm Project is a partnership led by the New Media Consortium (NMC) and the the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and is funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS). For more information about the project, visit the Pachyderm website at http://pachyderm.org.
