- Hogares y Cocinas (Households and Kitchens)
This is where Oaxacans prepare food, including chapulines for consumption. No matter what socioeconomic status an individual or households is, chapulin will still be served. Contrary to most popular belief insects as food are not just a "crisis food." - Restaurantes
Restaurants both in Mexico and the U.S.A., run by Oaxcans (for example, Donaji's Restaurant in Mitla, Oaxaca and pictured in this gallery), serve chapulin as an appetizer and main course. Feast your eyes . . .
- Arqueologia de Oaxaca
These images were taken in Monte Alban. Oaxaca's past goes back far before the days of the Spanish Conquistadors. The chapulin is a part of this legacy.
- Fiestas
The following pictures taken by Anjali Browning are of a wedding celebration and procession in a rural Zapotec town in Oaxaca.
