Claudia Kinder
Claudia Kinder, the Interpreter Coordinator for the Office for Disability Services, began with the office in 1993 as the first staff interpreter. She was promoted to the Interpreter Coordinator position when Linda Ross, the original Interpreter Coordinator, decided to continue her education.
Kinder says that since she has arrived at the Ohio State University she has seen the population of students with hearing impairments increase as well as their involvement on campus. She hopes to make OSU more inviting for students with hearing impairments. "Improving collaboration with schools and departments across the campus will increase accessibility and create a more welcoming environment," says Kinder.
