Petri and Izzo talk about the history of the Web Accessibility Center (WAC).
(6 minutes 58 seconds, captioned)

The Web Accessibility Center (WAC), directed by Ken Petri, is an office located in the Assistive Technology Training Center (ATTC) that is in charge of making sure that web based resources on campus are completely accessible. They also, along with Technology Enhanced Learning and Research (TELR), offer workshops on web accessibility open to anyone at the university. The office was created by a partnership grant that was given to Joe Wheaton and was staffed by a G.A.A. position until Ken Petri was hired as a full time Director in the beginning of the 2005 school year. After two years of being funded by the partnership grant, ADA Coordinator’s Office and the Office for Disability Services decided to support the office financially and make it a permanent office.
