Assistive Technology Training Center

Watch an interview with Sean Miller
Miller talks about his history with the Office for Disability Services as well as the history of the Assistive Technology Training Center (ATTC).
(5 minutes 33 seconds, captioned)

The Assistive Technology Training Center is run by the Assistive Technology Coordinator and is a part of the Office for Disability Services. It is a computer lab containing many types of assistive software and hardware that is available to students who are registered with the office.

It was originally housed in the Alternative Media section of the Office for Disability Services until 2002 when it was moved to room 102 of Pomerene Hall. Sean O’Briant, who used to be the full time Assistive Technology Coordinator for the office, was responsible for many of the technological advances that the center went through.

Later in 2002 the full time position was switched to a position that was 50% Counselor and 50% Assistive Technology Coordinator and the ATTC is now under the direction of Sean Miller. In the Assistive Technology Training Center there are distraction-reduced exam rooms, large computer monitors for people with visual impairments, the Web Accessibility Center (WAC) and much more.
