Miss Wheelchair America comes to Columbus
This image was used on President Enarson’s 1975 Holiday Card. The message on the inside read: "Photograph: The Ohio State University Marching Band forms the International Symbol of Access for a 1975 pre game show honoring Miss Wheelchair America. The symbol of access identifies facilities and services free of barriers to handicapped persons. As Ohio State moves forward in its program to accommodate the handicapped, the symbol of access appears across the campus." The Photograph was taken by Ralph Goodrich. Miss Wheelchair America had been held in Columbus, Ohio that year.
