How do baseball players make amazing catches or dogs pluck a Frisbee out of the air? Navigational research examines the visual information used to navigate to objects in our environment. People often have striking misconceptions about the flight of objects and objects compressed in depth. Our research explores these misconceptions and their origins and points to practical applications for athletes, the military and policy makers.
