Winter 2008 Workshops

Second Life I

When: Friday, January 25^th, 2008 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Explore the educational potential of Second Life, a multi-user environment that has over 11 million residents and has been used as a teaching tool by Harvard University, San Diego State, and right here at The Ohio State University.

As this hands-on workshop is intended for those with little to no experience in Second Life (www.secondlife.com), we will offer an introduction to the program, a chance for participants to practice with their first avatar, and a discussion of the positive and negative aspects of teaching with this exciting new tool.

This workshop will be taught exclusively on PC computers and there are no prerequisites.

Please note: this workshop will be held at the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) on 1224 Kinnear Rd.
