World Usability Day, November 14th

World Usability Day is a project of the Usability Professionals' Association - promoting usability concepts and techniques worldwide. With events occurring around the world, there will be 36 hours of events to attend in person and online. The topic of this year's worldwide event is "Making Life Easy!"

Technology Enhanced Learning and Research (TELR), The Digital Union and Professor Wayne Carlson, Chair, Department of Industrial, Interior, and Visual Communication Design, will host a local World Usability Day event on November 14, 2006 at the Digital Union in Room 370, Science and Engineering Library.

The program will include presentations by Bob Hale of Resource Interactive and Christopher Murnieks of ACM Interactive. Bob and Christopher teach in the Department of Industrial, Interior, and Visual Communication Design as well. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local usability experts.
