Overview:

By disseminating learning materials through technologies such as blogs, podcasts, wikis, and Writely, institutions deliver learning materials directly to students' desktops, laptops, and even iPods. The "Syndicating the Learning Process" web conference will demonstrate these new technologies. See examples of how they facilitate online collaboration, and how other learning institutions are using them to enhance their classes. Instruction sheets on how to use each of these technologies and links to free resources to help you get started will be shared as part of the session. You will leave with the essential tools and techniques to immediately begin implementing these emerging tools at your institution.

Who Should Attend:

Faculty and staff interested in starting to use collaborative technologies such as blogs, podcasts, wikis, and Writely in support of teaching efforts will receive the introduction they need to get started. This will not be an advanced discussion of any of these technologies, but will supply attendees with enough information and resources to immediately implement the basics of each technology as part of the learning process.
