CIO Hosts October 31 CyberSecurity Awareness Event
The Office of the Chief Information Officer invites the campus community to a very special event in observance of National CyberSecurity Awareness Month. This event, "Keeping Your Department out of Harm's Way," to be held on October 31 from 1:00 to 4:00 in room 140 Pfahl Hall, recognizes that CyberSecurity encompasses much more than just the technical aspects of security and that equal or greater attention must be paid to the probability of the compromise of sensitive data and the consequences of violating various privacy and security rules and laws. Two nationally recognized speakers are joining us for presentations and discussions of these important topics. Our two featured speakers are:

Bill will speak at 1:00 on the topic of "Seven Developments in the Past Five Months that have Shaken and Redefined Security" and Tim Keller, Director of Fraud and Identity Management Analytic Services, TransUnion, Chicago, Illinois Tim will speak at 2:30 on "Managing a Data Compromise: Is Your Organization Prepared?"
