On Wednesday afternoon, August 15, OCIO staff will take advantage of the brief break in academic activities to do some maintenance on Carmen. The work is planned to start at 3:00 PM and be completed by 5:00 PM. People who are using Carmen during that time should not be affected.
Ordinarily, this isn’t something that I would post in the Digital Union blog. However, in addition to the routine work being planned, we will also be changing some settings so that people who login to Carmen while using an iPad or other tablet device will be taken directly to the regular “desktop” interface rather than the minimalist mobile interface.
Logging in with a smartphone will still take you to the mobile interface, which is geared primarily toward reading existing content and messages.
