After almost four years of supporting OSU:pro, a part of me is a little sad to watch it sunset into the annals of Ohio State University technology history.
Gone will be the system of which I know every nook and cranny. Gone will be the system in which I spent countless hours reviewing citation formats (specifically looking at periods and commas). And gone will be the system for which I have trained over 1,000 users.
OSU:pro was an amazing system that I feel (and it seems Thomson Reuters feels) really changed faculty scholarly activity management, and I bid it a wholehearted farewell!
Now! On to bigger and better things. With the end of the OSU:pro story comes a new and exciting time for OSU. Research in View (or RiV), developed by Thomson Reuters, goes live today at The Ohio State University!
Users can login to RiV by going to https://osu.researchinview.thomsonreuters.com/ (or by using this shortcut http://go.osu.edu/researchinview) and selecting the orange ‘Sign In’ button. Ohio State users will use their OSU username (lastname.#) and password to access the system. There will be a short profile setup, and then faculty and staff will be able to access their Research in View profiles. Remember, all information from OSU:pro profiles has been transferred to RiV profiles, no re-entry of data is necessary.
