Annotations on the Go: Skitch for iPad

Stephen Lieb

Skitch is a free, easy-to-use app that helps you capture, edit, and markup your screen captures and images with shapes and comments. Navigation is a breeze and you’ll be creating tutorials, step-by-step guides, or colorful collages in no time. If it’s on the iPad, you can Skitch it. I played around with the app for about 30 minutes and had a blast. It has plenty of useful features… and it’s free!

As you can see from the screenshot below, it’s great way to people’s attention. Did it work? We’ll have to add up all the subscriptions, comments, tweets (@slieb614), and thumbs up to find out! Get Skitch’n!

    It’s a nifty little app!

Another cool feature with Skitch is that you can annotate/markup photos already on your iPad… This comes in handy if you need to add a fake mustache point something out on an existing image.

Skitch also natively links with Evernote. You can click the little elephant head and have your marked up image exported directly to your Evernote account as a new note.
