Usability for All: Creating PDF Documents from Word (02/03/2012)
Ken Petri from Ohio State’s Web Accessibility Center presented a session focusing on using Microsoft Word to create PDF documents using both Acrobat Pro and Word’s native ability to make PDF documents. He demonstrated how to ensure that PDF and Word documents can be easily navigated by general users and, in particular, users of screen reading programs and other assistive technologies. He described the advantages of using styles and descriptive text in Word.
