Usability for All: Accessible Content in Carmen (01/20/2012)
This hands-on workshop focused on ensuring that your HTML content in Carmen is accessible to all students, including those with disabilities. Ken Petri from OSU’s Web Accessbility Center demonstrated how to use the accessible HTML templates available in Carmen to organize your page content so that it is attractive and easy for everyone to read and navigate. He discussed how to structure headings, lists, links (to web sites and your own PDF’s or PowerPoints), and other basic HTML elements for high usability.
