Shh… it’s the Whisper Room
Available for use to OSU faculty, staff, and students working on an academic or course related project, the Whisper Room is one of Digital Union’s newest facilities! This sound insulated booth is ideal for use in producing high quality audio recordings for applications such as podcasting, voice narration, sampling, and music composition.
What to expect
The Whisper room is equipped with high quality condenser microphones set up to record into Camtasia, GarageBand, Audacity or Soundtrack Pro software installed on a Macintosh computer station. The default setup is one microphone recording into GarageBand on a Mac. When you arrive, one of our staff will assist you with setting up and if necessary, provide you with a quick crash course on recording. What to bring
Please bring some sort of storage medium such as a USB drive, a blank CD, or portable hard drive on which to save your file. It is also helpful to bring a bottle of water since ventilation in the room is minimal.
